General Questions

Brno has an extensive public transport system including trams, buses, and trolleybuses that make it easy to travel around the city. You can access public transport by buying tickets from ticket machines, mobile apps, or directly onboard using contactless payment (“Beep & Go”).  More info: Brno-public-transport

Check-in is on 23rd June between 12-16 at the accommodation reception area. Checkout is on 27th June morning, between 08-10.
Please contact your university’s local coordinator (people responsible for your travel arrangement), as well as sc2026@vut.cz in case of late arrival.
All meals will be fully arranged for you. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided each day, along with coffee breaks throughout the day. We will accommodate dietary restrictions based on what you filled in in the forms.
Business/Smart casual is recommended (e.g. jeans, shirts, simple dresses) for the day programme. For the social/evening programme, feel free to dress more casually and bring traditional clothes for the international evening. For the final evening event, there will be a special dress code, which will be shared on the website soon.

Communications

There will be a Whatsapp groupchat for participants, in addtition to important information being sent via email.

There will be volunteers taking photos and videos throughout the whole conference. There are timeslots reserved for Groupphotos and drone shots that we will inform you about. After the conference we will share the material with you.

The Student Conference will have an attendance of more that 250 people and many group photos will be taken thoughout the event. As a result it would be difficult for someone to be excluded from those photos. All though, if you are not comfortable to be on them, please let the organisers know beforehand through the forms that will be send to you.

Yes, you are allowed to take pictures of all of the programme, unless specifically stated otherwise.

Yes, we will share a LinkedIn template for participants to use.

Durring the conference we use communication channels such as the participant whatsapp group chat and email to keep you updated on information. The primary channel will be the WhatsApp community chat, so be sure to join that!

Yes, there will be a T-shirt for the participants, that you will be able to order through the in-person conference form beforehand.

Day Programme

There will be a science programme during the day, and a social programme during the evenings. [link to programme]

Yes, you will get to choose 2 workshop from multiple options.

Yes, each participant will be awarded a certificate at the end of the conference.

A laptop or tablet is not necessary for participating in the conference. We still recommend bringing a device to take notes and comfortably check the moodle course.

You can login using your university credentials. During the login process you will be redirected to your instituitions login page for authentification. [Link to SC Moodle]

Yes, the attendance for science program is mandatory and will be tracked.

There will be a book of abstracts with ISBN published after the conference.

No, you will not receive ECTS credits for participating in this years student conference.

Evening Program

Participants are expected to attend the official programme, as all conference activities are fully funded by the university

For the International Evening, we encourage you to bring traditional food or snacks from your home country to share with others. More detailed information will be provided in a dedicated post on the website and in the WhatsApp groups.

You will have free time before and after the programme each day. In addition, there will be dedicated time slots within the schedule specifically marked as free time.

Alcohol consumption and smoking are not allowed on the faculty premises or in any BUT facilities. This applies to both the science and social programme.

Awareness

Yes, you’ll sign the code-of-conduct when you check-in to the conference.

Yes, there will be people from the awareness present at all times, wearing a highlighted vest. You can approach them when you need help regarding emergencies or uncomfortable situations.

Yes, you can stay temporarily at the silent room in case you have anxiety or any other social-prone issue during the program. It is located at the main conference venue.
