Maria Sara Neri is an Italian trainee lawyer and Human Rights Advocate. She has been engaged in Human Rights Advocacy for the past seven years, both in EU institutions and UN-related projects.
Her research at the intersection of EU Law and Artificial Intelligence at the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) of the European Parliament expanded her expertise to encompass digital technologies and digital rights.
Furthermore, she was part of the Youth Delegation to the Council of Europe for the World Forum of Democracy, served as Young European Ambassador for BUILDEU2, and has been leading the Italian Direction of Constitutional Law at the Organización Democrática Mundial por el Desarrollo.
Currently, Maria Sara serves as the Senior Advisor and EU Director of the International Organization of Youth (IOY), a platform advancing democracy, inclusiveness, and sustainability within the United Nations. Through projects centered on inclusion and equity, she promotes active engagement of underrepresented communities in policy development and decision-making.
