Where is the venue of the conference?
The conference will happen at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Brno University of Technology (FEEC BUT) at T12 building:

Brno has an extensive public transport system including trams, buses, and trolleybuses that make it easy to travel around the city. There will be a Whatsapp groupchat for participants, in addtition to important information being sent via email.

Will there be photos/videos taken from the conference?
There will be volunteers taking photos and videos throughout the whole conference. There are timeslots reserved for Groupphotos and drone shots that we will inform you about. After the conference we will share the material with you.
Is it possible to not be at the photos?
The Student Conference will have an attendance of more that 250 people and many group photos will be taken thoughout the event. As a result it would be difficult for someone to be excluded from those photos. All though, if you are not comfortable to be on them, please let the organisers know beforehand through the forms that will be send to you.
Am I allowed to take photos of certain programme points
Yes, you are allowed to take pictures of all of the programme, unless specifically stated otherwise.
Is there a template that I can use to show that I participated for LinkedIn
Yes, we will share a LinkedIn template for participants to use.
Where do I find the changes/up to date information during event?
Is there merch?
Yes, there will be a T-shirt for the participants, that you will be able to order through the in-person conference form beforehand.
Day Program
What will the Programme look like?
There will be a science programme during the day, and a social programme during the evenings. [link to programme]
Can I choose which sessions to attend?
Yes, you will get to choose 2 workshop from multiple options.
Will there be a certificate of participation?
Yes, each participant will be awarded a certificate at the end of the conference.
Do I have to bring a laptop/tablet
A laptop or tablet is not necessary for participating in the conference. We still recommend bringing a device to take notes and comfortably check the moodle course.
How to get access to my moodle account?
You can login using your university credentials. During the login process you will be redirected to your instituitions login page for authentification. [Link to SC Moodle]
Will the attendance be mandatory?
Yes, the attendance for science program is mandatory and will be tracked.
Will the conference publish proceedings
There will be a book of abstracts with ISBN published after the conference.
Where can I register workshops?
You can register workshops on the moodle page of the conference. (link)
Can I get ECTS credits for attending the conference?
No, you will not receive ECTS credits for participating in this years student conference.
Evening Program
Can we go on a individual trip or we have to be at campus all the time?
Participants are expected to attend the official programme, as all conference activities are fully funded by the university
What do I bring to the international evening?
For the International Evening, we encourage you to bring traditional food or snacks from your home country to share with others. More detailed information will be provided in a dedicated post on the website and in the WhatsApp groups.
How much free time will we have?
You will have free time before and after the programme each day. In addition, there will be dedicated time slots within the schedule specifically marked as free time.
Alcohol consumptions; smoking
Alcohol consumption and smoking are not allowed on the faculty premises or in any BUT facilities. This applies to both the science and social programme.
Awareness
The awareness persons are support persons who you can turn to if you feel like you have encountered an uncomfortable situation, such as harassment, with another participant, guest, speaker, volunteer, or somebody else. They advise and support students who have encountered harassment, assault, discrimination, bullying, or other unequal treatment.
Awareness persons are neither official authorities (e.g. police), nor medical personnel (e.g. nurses), but they are trained volunteers who handle mediation and provide guidance during the time of distress. You can be in contact with them, even if you are not the subject of harassment, but have seen harassment or want to talk about harassment prevention.
The awareness persons will not take any further action without the consent of the person concerned, and the discussions are strictly confidential, unless a third-party intervention is absolutely necessary.
The awareness persons can also be approached in situations where you might need some minor first aid assistance, or whenever you need guidance to find the right person during the time of distress.
What can be considered as harassment?
Defining harassment is difficult, because it is always related with the person’s feelings of the experience. Something what is normal to you, might be inappropriate for someone else. Harassment is any kind of action or behavior, which continues, even after the target has told it’s out of line. To give a rough idea, Harassment may include, for example,
- mental or physical bullying
- Threatening
- unequal treatment
- discrimination
- distressing messages
- inappropriate remarks
- untruthful gossip
- Unconsensual physical touch
or any other activity that the target of harassment feels uncomfortable or offensive.
How can you contact the Awareness persons?
In case of any of the above-mentioned incidents, you can contact the Awareness Persons in the following ways:
- Approaching an awareness person during the Student Conference session, where they can be easily identified while wearing a neon reflective vest. This is the quickest and the easiest way.

- You do not need to give your contact information, unless you wish to do so.

Quiet / Silent Room
If you feel overwhelmed, need a break, or would like a quiet space to rest, a silent room will be available on the university campus throughout the conference.
Code of Conduct and Safe Space
The EULiST Student Conference follows the code of conduct prepared by the Awareness persons team. All people attending the EULiST Student Conference 2026 in Brno are required to follow the code of conduct, and required to sign the consent form stating that they have read and agreed to the code of conduct. Any violations of the code of conduct can result in the immediate cancellation of the participation of the person from the EULiST Student Conference 2026, after a fair warning in some cases.
