About this Session

This workshop introduces sustainable synthetic biology solutions that turn cellulose-based waste into valuable pharmaceuticals. Participants will explore recent advances in fungal biotechnology, with a special focus on the versatile fungus Trichoderma reesei. Designed for a general audience, this session requires no prior knowledge of biotechnology or chemistry.

The Presenters

Syed Muhammad Ameer (LUH)

Holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology from Government College University (GCU), Lahore, and a M.Sc. in Environmental Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad. Currently pursuing a PhD in the Cox Group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry (OCI), Leibniz University Hannover (LUH).
